Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
A decade that saw the Maple Leafs win four Stanley Cup championships and field lineups full of future Hockey Hall of Fame inductees, the Toronto Maple Leafs celebrated “60’s Night” during their December 19th, 2009 contest vs the Boston Bruins. Up for grabs here, is this 1967 style Leafs jersey donned in warm-ups by Toronto defenceman, Jeff Finger. Sporting a single size “56” CCM label affixed to the inner collar with an additional CCM patch over the reverse hem alongside the embroidered NHL shield logo, the front of the tie-neck garment has been accented with a throwback style Leafs team crest in tackle twill with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered. The sleeves and verso have been done up with the former Leaf, Bob Baun’s number “21” in single layer white tackle twill numerals with “Baun” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for just the warm-ups, the jersey shows no obvious game-wear and remains in beautiful condition while displaying light marks not associated with game-wear at the top of the crest and under the collar. Accompanied by a Leafs COA, Finger has signed the reverse number “2” with a blue ink signature that shows with bleeding.
