O-Pee-Chee’s ever-popular 1984-85 set of 396 cards features an appreciated design and some notable rookie cards, with the assembly here showing very little handling and remaining in an overall high-grade condition range of EX-MT to NM. Rookie cards of Hall of Famers #17 Dave Andreychuk (slightly off-center), #18 Tom Barrasso #67 Steve Yzerman (slightly off-center), #129 Pat LaFontaine (off-center top-to-bottom), #185 Doug Gilmour (tiny ding at top right), #259 Chris Chelios and #327 Cam Neely highlight the lineup with all in the previously mentioned condition range of EX-MT to NM except for the example of Gilmour, which falls off a bit, found to be in the range of EX to EX-MT because of the aforementioned ding. For the star cards, those of 1-Bourque (off-centered top-to-bottom), 243-Gretzky and 254-Messier are also all viewed as being in the neighbourhood of EX-MT to NM along with the nine (9) other Gretzky leaders cards in the set and the three (3) checklists which are all unmarked.
O-Pee-Chee's 264-card 1986-87 offering is highlighted by the #53 rookie card of Patrick Roy, with the particular copy included with this assembly having earned a mark of NM 7 after inspection by PSA. Housed in a holder that remains in excellent condition and shows just light scratches over both sides, the rest of the set is once again an overall high-grade EX-MT to NM offering. Including the rookie cards of #9 John Vanbiesbrouck and #149 Wendel Clark (70-30 centering), both are in the range of EX-MT to NM along with star cards of 3-Gretzky (70-30 centering), 11-Yzerman, 122-Lemieux and 186-Messier. Including two (2) other Gretzky leaders cards as well as a pair of unmarked checklists, everything remains in the same condition as the rest of the set already listed.
