Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Playing in 13 NHL All-Star Games, Maurice Richard remains the quintessential Canadien. He was the first player to reach 500 career goals and the first to score 50 goals in 50 games, he was also the first non-politician to be given a state funeral by the province of Quebec. We have an especially rare circa-1948 “Pep” cereal pin of the HOF icon. Featuring a perfectly centered image with excellent clarity, there is just a small area of surface rust along the top of the rim, with additional surface rust over half of the reverse. One of the most desirable hockey pins in existence, this scarcity is a pleasing example for any collector.
