Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Traded, along with Tyler Moss, to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Brad Werenka on March 14, 2000, Rene Corbet spent parts of two seasons in Pennsylvania, before eight seasons in Germany with Alder Mannheim. This Pens jersey was worn by the Victoriaville native in 2000-01. A size “52” fly tag including sewn-down label with handwritten “9” sits along the collar, with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive and textured Pens team crest, the solid black V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Corbet” across the nameplate in single white twill. Nice game-use is shown, with marks over the front and sleeves along with burn marks to the sleeves including a small resulting hole over the left elbow. There is also light pilling beneath the fight strap.
