This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Sure to pique the interest of all game-used lumber enthusiasts, especially those that desire autographed examples, offered here is this collection of twelve (12) game-used signed and unsigned sticks that date from the late-1980s to the early-2000s. Featuring a good mix of brands including examples made by Hespeler, Bauer, Sher-Wood, Easton, CCM and Koho, all of the included sticks still showcase their original tape either over the handles/knobs and/or blades with some having had some or all of the blade tape removed to facilitate the autographs that have been penned to them. With most of the included twigs displaying either stamped or handwritten identifiers at the top of the shafts, the group includes examples once wielded by Adam Graves (signed by members of Team Canada’s WCOH training camp roster including Yzerman, Sakic, Shanahan, Dineen and others with the signatures showing some wear throughout), Dan Cloutier (crack near the heel – signed over blade in black ink and displaying well), Wade Redden (signed in black ink over the heel and displaying well), Tony Amonte (signed over the blade in black ink and displaying well - crack at the toe of the blade), Igor Ulanov (x2 – both signed over the blade in gold ink and displaying well), Barry Nieckar (signed over the lower shaft and displays with fading from age), Clarke WIlm (signed in black ink over the blade tape with some fading), Mike Eastwood (signed in blue ink over the blade tape with some fading), and Shjon Podein (signed in black ink over the blade tape with some fading- has a crack near the heel) while two sticks, including a black Sher-Wood goalie stick and an Easton with an inserted Bauer blade display no identifiers except for a handwritten “44” on the knob tape of the Easton. Lastly a Russian Soviet Union era commemorative/souvenir stick is also included in the lot, appearing to be signed over the blade by Boris Mikhailov. Of note, all the sticks show signs of game-use via marks/abrasions throughout with a couple, the Cloutier, Amonte and the Podein have some damage as outlined above while the rest appear to be structurally sound. Additionally, due to the size and weight of the collection, special shipping arrangements may be required.
