Combining to play nearly 1800 games in the National Hockey League, Shayne Corson and Craig Simpson would both skate together as members of the Edmonton Oilers in 1992-93, with both played having been drafted within the top 10 of the 1984 and 1985 NHL Entry Draft’s respectively. Presented here, is this collection of jerseys including a signed Shayne Corson 1998 NHL All-Star Game “Team North America” example and a Craig Simpson early-to-mid-1990s circa 1994 Buffalo Sabres offering. Both pro style on-ice garments made by CCM, the Corson jersey features both size “56” and “Made in Canada” labels sewn to the inner collar while the Simpson features tagging in the form of “Center Ice Authentic Collection”, CCM and size “52” labels with each also having had the CCM and NHL shield logos embroidered into the reverse hem with the Corson also sporting an embroidered NHLPA logo in the same area. Decorated over the front of the Corson with an NHL shield crest that features embroidered details, the shoulders have been accented with a Montreal Canadiens team crest on the left side and the 1999 All-Star Game event logo on the right while a Canadian flag patch graces the right breast. For the Simpson jersey, a Sabres team crest in layered tackle twill with embroidered details is found over the front of the garment with matching smaller logo patches having been added over both shoulders. Featuring Corson’s number “27” and Simpson’s number “22” over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill numerals with their respective surnames spelt out in single layer twill letters across affixed matching nameplates, both jerseys remain in excellent condition with no signs of game-wear but with both showing light marks over either their bodies or sleeves. Concerning the autographs, Corson has signed the reverse number “7” of his with a black marker ink signature that displays well with very light bleeding and has added a personalized inscription in matching ink on the reverse number “2” that displays in the same condition. As for the Simpson, he has signed over the front crest with a blue marker ink signature that also displays well with light bleeding and has dated with autograph with a “1994” annotation underneath in matching blue ink.
