commonly referred to as Randy "The Rocket" Mckay" for not only his physical playstyle and consistent double digit goal seasons, but also most notably for his "head high screamers" or hard slapshots into the upper corner of the net, McKay, who was drafted 113th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1985, would win two (2) Stanley Cup’s as a member of the New Jersey Devils in 1995 and 2000. A veteran of 932 NHL games, offered here is this Montreal Canadiens jersey during his final season of 2002-03. Made by CCM and featuring a lone size “58” size label affixed to the inner collar, a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield is found embroidered into the reverse hem Decorated over the front with the famed “CH” crest of Les Canadiens, the sleeves and verso have had McKay’s number “21” sewn to them in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals while “McKay” is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, red coloured board paint transfer marks are observed over the reverse and both sleeves as well which also showcase board burns. Additionally, unrepaired slash marks/cuts are observed over the left sleeve along with pilling on the interior and some light spot stains on the front. Displaying a MeiGray patch numbered “A01954” sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White 2nd Regular Season” specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
