A product of the Laval Titans in the QMJHL where he would twice play for the Memorial Cup, Sylvain Blouin would be drafted 104th overall by the New York Rangers in 1994 and go on to play a total of 115 NHL games over the course of his career with New York, Montreal and Minnesota. Presented here, is this Canadiens jersey worn by Blouin during the 2002-03 season, specifically during the “Hall of Fame Game” which took place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on November 2nd, 2002. Made by Koho and featuring a single size “58” tag affixed to the inner collar, the reverse neckline has been accented with a Koho logo patch while the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with the famed “CH” crest of Les Canadiens, the all-important Hockey Hall of Fame Game event patch resides over the right breast. Having had Blouin’s number “53” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Blouin” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting just light game-use, each sleeve presents with a stick mark over it. Showcasing a MeiGray tag numbered “A05415” sewn inside the rear hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Red HHOF Game” specimen.
