A league that has over 100 years of play in its history since its founding in 1917 and roots that date back even farther than that, a total of 8431 players and goalies have stepped on to the ice in a National Hockey League regular season game since the league’s inception all those years ago including 284 that have gone on to be inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Presented here, we offer this jersey and mini-stick signed by members of the Oldtimers Hockey Challenge Tour that dates to 1995. For the jersey, a ProJoy made garment with a size "XXL" designation over the tag that is affixed to the inner collar along with a year notation appearing to read "1995", the front of the jersey is decorated with an Oldtimers Hockey Challenge crest that displays embroidered details while a Schneider's sponsorship logo has been embroidered into the left sleeve. In good condition with a few light stains worth making note of, the jersey has been signed by fifteen (15) over the front and around the crest including HOFers Bobby Hull, Guy Lafleur, Norm Ullman, Red Storey and Marcel Dionne plus Mario Marois, Mark Napier, Jean Guy Talbot and others. For the stick, measuring 36 1/2" from top-to-bottom, the piece displays "Greatest Hockey Legends" over the upper shaft on one side and a hole has been drilled through the top for mounting. In excellent condition, fourteen (14) have signed it by our count including HOFers Lafleur, McDonald, Ullman, Storey and what appears to be Frank Mahovlich near the end of the blade plus Don Awery. For the condition of the autographs themselves, the ones on the jersey are signed in a mix of black or blue marker ink and display well with some fading from age while the ones on the stick, signed in red, black or blue show heavier fading with some completely illegible.
