Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Drafted by his hometown Edmonton Oilers in 1996, Fernando Pisani spent parts of seven seasons with the club along with a single campaign with Chicago in 2010-11. This signed and photo-matched Oilers jersey was worn by Pisani in 2003-04. An Elite label with size “58” tag sits along the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the familiar tear-drop Oilers team crest, the “White 2nd Regular Season” jersey has been accented with tri-layer tackle twill numbers along with matching oil rig patches over each shoulder. The club’s 25th anniversary patch is also present, situated over the right breast. Exhibiting nice game-use with a number of dark marks over the front and sleeves, there is also some blue paint transfer to the front band and left elbow, with a slit on the lower right sleeve. Pisani has signed the reverse "4", with the signature blending into the material somewhat. Getty Image #1255249037 (Jan 11, 2004) has been matched to the blue transfer mark over the lower front band, with particularities within the Oilers team crest also matching (there are other marks seen in the photo that do not show up on the jersey, with these washed-out at some point). A MeiGray tag numbered “B03680” is sewn inside the reverse hem near the team patch, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “White 2nd Regular Season” specimen. An LOA will accompany.
