The jewel of the Motor City, opening it's doors in 1927, the Detroit Olympia was the home of the Red Wings for half a century, until 1979. This lot offers a late-1930s to late-1940s Olympia Red Wings program collection of 11 including 1941-42 Stanley Cup semifinals and finals programs. Included, there are programs for 1938-39 (2, line-up detached on one, partially detached on the other), 1940-41 (excellent plus condition), 1941-42 (4, 2 in near-mint condition, plus March 31, 1942 Stanley Cup semifinals Game 2 vs Boston and Stanley Cup finals for either Game 3, 4 or 6), 1943-44 (2, one has the covers almost detached, with a handwritten scoring sheet affixed to the interior), 1944-45 (2), and 1949-50 (Howe cover, with cover separation along the top of the spine). Also included, there is an Olympia minor league program from 1941-42. The line-ups are intact in each program, with covers featuring Howe, Adams, Hollett and others.
