A product of Miami University (Ohio) in the NCAA, Steve Wilson would play in both the IHL and ECHL during his career before spending eight years overseas in Germany playing with the Cologne Sharks and Hannover Scorpions of the DEL. Offered here, is this Manitoba Moose alternate captain’s jersey worn by Wilson during the club’s inaugural season of 1996-97. Made by Bauer, washed out ProWear and size “56” tags are affixed to the inner collar while both IHL and Bauer logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Moose team crest that features embroidered details throughout, matching alternate logo patches have been added over each shoulder while the distinguished alternate captain’s “A” has been added over the left breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Wilson’s number “7” in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, “S. Wilson” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters. Exhibiting game-use via heavy board burns and unrepaired holes/cuts over both sleeves, the front and reverse showcases a couple of stick marks while a large burn/unrepaired cut is found over the lower reverse as well. Featuring good pilling at the elbows on the interior, a Moose team patch denoting the jersey as a “1996-1997 Game Worn Inaugural Season” offering is sewn inside the reverse hem.
