Coming over to "The Lone Star State" and the Dallas Stars from the New York Rangers and the bright lights of "The Big Apple" via a trade in March of 1998, Brian Skrudland would spend parts of three (3) seasons with the Stars and be a key cog in the wheel of the 1998-99 Stars team that would win the Stanley Cup, the second of Skrudand's career. Offered here, we present this Stars jersey worn by Skrudland during the 1997-98 season that has been signed by approximately thirty-three (33) members of that years squad. Made by CCM, both "Made in Canada" and size "54" tags are affixed to the inner collar while the CCM and NHL shield logos along with a Stars emblem have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Stars team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, the jersey, a third style offering from the first-year that they were worn by the club and bearing a striking resemblance to the All-Star Game jerseys of the mid-1990s, also sports matching Texas state alternate crests over each shoulder. Having had Skrudland's number "10" sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Skrudland" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the back. Exhibiting light game-wear, stick marks are seen over the right sleeve, the numbers on the reverse and left reverse hip, where a small unrepaired hole is also seen along with an additional one at the bottom left of the "1" on the reverse as well. With board burns observed at each elbow, the interior sports just light wear via signs of washing and lint in the velcro of the fight strap. Having been signed by thirty-three over the reverse numbers in black ink including key names such as Belfour, Nieuwendyk, Modano, Muni, Turek, Hatcher, Langenbrunner, Carbonneau, Wright, Chambers, Keane, Adams, Reid, Sydor, Matvichuk, Hitchcock (coach), Verbeek and numerous others, all the autographs display well and remain fully visible with no fading and only light bleeding on some. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by Skrudland will accompany the piece.
