Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Beginning his 2020-21 NHL season with a victory on Jan 16th vs Ottawa, Jack Campbell would go on to win his first 10 in-a-row and set a franchise record with Toronto, previously held by Felix Potvin with 9. He would then win his 11th straight, again vs Ottawa, on April 10th, to set the NHL record for most consecutive wins from the start of a season. This Leafs jersey was worn by the Michigan native for the first two victories of the streak, on Jan 16th vs Ottawa, and Jan 24th vs Calgary, and it has been photo-matched to both contests. “58G” sizing appears across the Adidas collar band, with NHL and Adidas crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring the club’s famous vintage style team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “36” appears over the sleeves and verso in single twill. Worn for just two games, light use is shown with a few washed out marks to the front and sleeves. Getty Image #1297252034 (Jan 16, 2021) has been matched to the mark over the left shoulder, which is now slightly washed out, while Getty Image #1230628385 (Jan 16, 2021) has been matched to the dark mark between the striping bands on the right sleeve near the seam, which is now slightly washed out. Lastly, Getty Image #1298214428 (Jan 24 2021) has been matched to the two marks to the right of the team crest, to the dark mark over the left shoulder, and to the dark mark at the corner seam of the left shoulder, directly to the left of the "3" of "36" - with all marks slightly washed-out. A Catstitch label is pressed to the top of the fight strap, with the team patch residing on the inside hem. A COA from the Leafs will accompany.
