Known for his deceptive speed and stick-handling ability, Blake Wheeler is a definite fan favourite in Winnipeg. This Winnipeg Jets alternate captain’s jersey was worn by Wheeler in 2013-14, and it’s been photo-matched. With size 58 tagging in the collar, the jersey also has Reebok and NHL patches on the front and back neckline. Styled with tackle twill numbers and name-on-nameplate, the jersey also features matching jet crests on each shoulder. Game-wear includes a few stick marks present, along with 8 team repairs even spread between both sleeves. Getty image #483541053 from March 14th 2014 has been matched to two small black marks just above, and on, the top grey stripe on the right sleeve (with the "A"). Getty image #482751589 from March 27th 2014 has been matched to the long diagonal mark below the team crest, and to a pair of black marks near and under the A (without the "A"). Getty image #483642185 from April 5th 2014 has been matched to the two small black marks just above, and on the top grey stripe on the right sleeve, also to the small mark to the right of the team crest on shoulder, plus to the diagonal black mark below the team crest (without the "A"). We should also note that the Jets team patch remains affixed to the inside hem, and the team’s inventory bar code has been placed above the fight strap that includes handwritten initials. According to the accompanying LOA, this garment was worn between Jan 16 2014 and April 11 2015. An LOA from the Jets organization signed by Wheeler will accompany.
