A product of both the Belleville Bulls and Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, the Vancouver Canucks made Brendan Gaunce a first round pick at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft when they selected him 26th overall. A Le Mat Trophy (Swedish Hockey League) champion in 2021, offered here is this AHL Utica Comets jersey worn by Gaunce during the 2015-16 season. Made by CCM, both brand/AHL and partially sewn over size “56” labeling is affixed to the inner collar while a CCM logo patch adorns the reverse neckline. Featuring an additional CCM patch and an AHL league crest over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Comets team crest that displays with embroidered details while a New York State Tool sponsorship patch has been added over the right breast. Sporting matching Canucks stick-in-rink logo crests over both shoulders, the sleeves and verso have had Gaunce’s number “10” sewn to them in single layer blue twill letters while “Gaunce” has been spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. In terms of game-wear, stick marks are exhibited over the front, reverse and both sleeves which also show board burns over each as well. Additionally, both sleeves and the lower front showcase unrepaired cuts/holes and pilling is present on the interior. The piece comes accompanied by a Vancouver Canucks COA as well as the original team store purchase receipt.
