Always solid contenders in international hockey, Finland have won an impressive 18 medals in the World Championships and Olympics, including a pair of golds. They have also contributed NHL legends Jari Kurri, Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne. This beautiful pair of Finnish National Team jerseys were worn by Mika Viitaharju and goaltender Ari Sulander. The Viitaharju example was worn in the mid-to-late-1980s, while the jersey worn by Ari Sulander is from the 1990s. The Viitaharju jersey is tagged in the neck by Kisapukuoy in size 54-56. The lion crest is sewn-on, while the numbers on sleeves and back, ‘’Suomi’’ across the front and Mika’s surname ‘’Viitaharju’’ (on a sewn-on nameplate) are rubberized. The jersey shows great game use with slashes, unrepaired cut / holes and stick marks on various areas. The Sulander jersey features sublimated team crest and name-on-nameplate, with rubberized advertising patches on the upper front and shoulders, while the numbers on the sleeves and back tackle twill. Just light use is exhibited with a few small stains that are possibly blood, along with loose threading on the front bottom hem. Surlander received many accolades, among them being named the best player in the SM-Liiga and best goalie in the NLA for a number of seasons.
