Drafted 25th overall by the newly minted Ottawa Senators at the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Chad Penney would help the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL to a Memorial Cup championship in 1993 and donned the red and white of Team Canada at the 1992 IIHF World Junior Championships. Playing in a total of three (3) NHL games during his career, all with Ottawa in 1993-94, offered here is this AHL Prince Edward Island Senators jersey worn by Penney during the mid-1990s between the period of 1993 and 1996. Made by CCM, Maska Ultrafil and size "56" labels are affixed to the inner collar while the CCM logo has been embroidered into the reverse hemline alongside a sewn on AHL league crest. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features both textured and embroidered details throughout, the sleeves and verso of the battle tested garment have been accented with Penney's number "8" in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having had "Penney" spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back, the jersey exhibits strong game wear with stick marks observed throughout the body and sleeves, with the latter sporting numerous team repairs and board burns as well. With the left sleeve also displaying with an unrepaired cut and red board paint transfers near the cuff and through the numeral over the upper arm, additional light paint transfer marks are observed through the "8" on the reverse as well while the interior has good pilling.
