An American pop rock band that were conceived in 1965 as a fictional band for the sitcom "The Monkees" by the television producers Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider. Viewed as the American television response to The Beatles, the Monkees have sold a total of nearly 19 millions albums since their introduction to the public. Looking at the time to capitalize on their popularity, offered here, we present this unopened wax box of Topps' 1967 The Monkees Flip Movies packs. Designed to show animated scenes from the show by viewing each page in rapid succession, the box contains 24 packs on the interior that each cost .5 cents at the time. Of all of the Monkees promotions released at the time, this set is encountered the least often and considering the design and cheap paper is the most condition sensitive making this such box an especially alluring offering. Having been certified and shrink wrapped by unopened wax specialists BBCE, the box remains in beautiful condition with only light surface, edge and corner wear all the way around with a couple of small creases on the top lidwhile retaining bright and vivid colours. Sporting a non perforated fold up display, a BBCE label and hologram have been affixed over the shrink wrap on the bottom. Don't miss out on this seldomly seen important piece of pop culture history!
