Drafted 3rd overall by the Ottawa Senators in 1994, Radek Bonk would play a total of 969 games in the NHL split between Ottawa, Montreal and Nashville before returning home to the Czech Republic to finish out his career with HC Ocelari Trinec, whom he spent four seasons with between 2009 and 2013. Offered here, is this photo-matched Ottawa Senators jersey worn by Bonk during the 2003-04 season. Made by CCM, a lone size “58” label is affixed to the inner collar while a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline and the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features embroidered and textured details, alternate logo patches reside over each shoulder while the memorial patch that Ottawa wore following the passing of Roger Neilson has been added over the right breast. Having had Bonk’s number “14” sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill numerals, “Bonk” is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game use, the garment displays numerous stick marks over the front and reverse as well as board burns over both sleeves and lower reverse along with team repairs over the front, both sleeves and right shoulder. Additionally, some sweat staining is present at the collar on both sides. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered “B06694” sewn inside the rear hem, according to the company’s population report the jersey is a “White 1st Regular Season” offering and is accompanied by a matching LOA. As for the photo-matches, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #3030323 (November 25th, 2003 vs Atlanta) to the team repairs over the right sleeve and shoulder.
