Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023

Playing for three different NHL clubs in a career spanning 13 seasons, Dana Murzyn was drafted by Hartford 5th overall in 1985, and won a Stanley Cup championship with Calgary in 1989. This Canucks alternate captain's jersey was worn by Murzyn in 1996-97. A CCM label is affixed to the collar next to a size “56” fly tag and attached team store price tag, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Featuring the classic Canucks team crest with embroidered detailing, “5” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with a Canuck Place crest to the right shoulder. The jersey shows great game use with dark marks to the front band and over the striping accents on the sleeves along with burn marks and paint transfer, with a pair of team repairs to the right sleeve. There is also some pilling to the interior sleeves and beneath the fight strap. An LOA will accompany. Addendum; jersey is from 1996-97 not 1995-96 as originally stated.
