Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
With over two decades in professional Hockey, Mike Keane skated for six different NHL clubs during his career which included winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships with three different teams. From his time in Vancouver, we have a Canucks "Vintage" jersey worn specifically during the 5-4 win over Montreal on Nov 18, 2003 (this set of jerseys were also worn in the Dec 27, 2003 match vs Edmonton, but Keane did not dress for this game). A label with "56" sizing is affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests to the reverse hem. Styled with the classic hockey stick team crest, "9" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single blue twill, with the NHL "Vintage" crest to the right breast. "Keane #9" is also handwritten to the fight strap. Worn for a single contest, the jersey shows light use, with just a few marks visible. A MeiGray patch numbered "B09806" is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the population report, the jersey is a "White Vintage Set 1 - Used 11/18/03 vs Montreal - DNP 12/27/03 vs Edmonton" specimen. An LOA will accompany.
