A fun collection of vintage non-sport card action for you to consider here, dating between 1950 and 1953 and all originally released by famed trading card company Topps. Depicting various scenes of war, military equipment and uniform patches as well as what life is like in places such as the jungle and plains of Africa, offered here is this vintage non-sport collection including a 1953 Topps Fighting Marines near complete Set (80/96), a group of 1950 Topps Freedom's War (164 Cards) and a group of 1950 Topps Bring 'Em Back Alive (119 Cards). Starting with the near complete set of 1953 Topps Fighting Marines, missing cards 4, 7, 8, 15, 19, 26, 28, 29, 30, 32, 34, 41, 63, 67, 70 and 72, the set is broken down into five different subsets including; Marines in Training #1-23, Marines in the Pacific #24-48, Marine Heroes #49-70, History of the Marines #71-90 and Marine Uniforms #91-96. In terms of approximate conditions, ten (10) cards in the group are found to be of a very low grade of PR to FR while thirteen (13) are in the scope of FR to G+. Fifty-seven (57) are seen as being in the vicinity of lower-to-mid-grade, around G to VG at best and lastly, ten (10) cards are badly discoloured. Moving on to the 1950 Topps Freedom War set, present are a total of 164 total cards with thirty-five (35) of them being doubles. A set of 203 total cards overall, extras are included for #'s 4, 14, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32, 34, 36, 43, 48, 49, 66, 67, 70, 86, 105, 117, 130, 143, 157, 162, 164, 178, 180, 183, 185, 189, 191, 196, 198 and 199 with approximately forty-five of the cards in very low grade and the rest in the scope of lower to mid-range grades, none of which are better than the odd VG. Lastly, is a group of 119 cards from the 1950 Topps Bring 'Em Back Alive release that depicts various scenes of what life would be like in the jungle and amongst the native tribes of Africa through the experiences of explorer/animal collector, Frank Buck. Including a total of fifty (50) dark backs, the lower-grade lot features cards that are mostly all stained on the reverse while the rest of the group, totalling sixty-nine (69) cards, are light back variations with seven (7) cards seen as being very low grade specimens while the rest are lower to mid-grade range offerings. With about twenty (20) of the light backs very badly off-center, the dark backs include an extra of card #88 while the light backs feature extra cards of 2, 6, 7, 24 (2), 39, 44, 52, 61, 69, 76, 89 and 98. Like we led with at the top, fun stuff.
