Retiring with a total of 406 games of NHL experience under his belt after going undrafted in junior, Warren Rychel would hoist Lord Stanley’s mug as a member of the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. Going on to win a trio of Memorial Cup championships as GM of the Windsor Spitfires in 2009, 2010 and 2017, one of only three (3) hockey minds to accomplish the feat, offered here is this Anaheim Mighty Ducks jersey worn by Rychel during training camp and pre-season of the 1996-97 campaign. A Nike made offering with brand/size “56” and “NHL Center Ice” labeling affixed to the inner collar, both the Nike Swoosh logo and NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the heavyweight garment with a familiar Mighty Ducks team crest that features embroidered details, matching alternate logo patches have been added over each shoulder. Accented with Rychel’s number “16” over the sleeves and verso in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals, “Rychel” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for just a short period of time and small number of games, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear via board burns over both sleeves, the lower front and reverse right side hem with a couple of very light stick marks over the reverse hem on the left side hip. A “Mighty Ducks of Anaheim 1996-97 Training Camp Uniform Set” stamp has been added by the team over the interior reverse hem to make note of as well.
