Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Finishing first in the Canadian Division with HOFer Busher Jackson leading the club in points, the Toronto Maple Leafs received a bye, and met the Boston Bruins in the 1932-33 Stanley Cup semifinals. The Leafs would be victorious, with the series going five games. The New York Rangers would defeat the blue and white in the finals three games to one. This MLG program was issued for Game 3 of the semifinals, on March 30, 1933 (won by Boston 2-1, with Eddie Shore scoring the overtime winner). A high grade survivor in beautiful condition, and featuring the artwork of classic cartoonist Lou Skuce, the date is stamped to the cover, with the line-up sheet in the middle intact. The interior pages remain bright white, and we should note that to find a superior copy would likely be impossible.
