The 3rd overall pick of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers, Jay Bouwmeester would play a total of 1240 National Hockey League games over the course of his career, winning a Stanley Cup as a member of the St. Louis Blues in 2019 to become a member of the illustrious “Triple Gold Club”. Offered here, is this Panthers jersey worn by Bouwmeester during the 2007-08 season. Made by Reebok, a lone size “58” tag displaying Bouwmeester's number “4” handwritten in black marker is affixed to the inner collar while both NHL shield and Reebok crests adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a Panthers team crest that features embroidered details, the ghosting of a once affixed alternate captain’s “A” can be seen over the left breast and matching alternate logo patches have been placed over each shoulder. Having had Bouwmeester's number “4” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Bouwmeester” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Displaying with excellent game wear, board burns are observed over both sleeves and shoulders along with numerous unrepaired holes while the left sleeve exhibits a large cluster of team repairs near the elbow. Sporting light pilling on the interior and a Panthers team tag denoting the jersey as a “2007-2008 Set #1” offering sewn inside the reverse hem, Bouwmeester has signed the “4” on the reverse with a black ink signature that displays well. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched to Getty Image #78204598 (December 1st, 2007 vs Washington) to the board burns and team repairs on the left sleeve.
