A three-time NHL All-Star, representing the Czech Republic at every level for over over a decade, Roman Hamrlik was selected 1st overall by Tampa Bay in 1992. A stalwart defender who was known for his offensive prowess, scoring over 600 career points during an NHL career that saw him play in 1395 games over the course of 20-years, offered here is this video-matched Edmonton Oilers jersey worn by Hamrlik during the 1999-2000 season. Made by Pro Player, a brand tag displaying a "Center Ice Authentic Collection" notation is affixed to the inner collar as well as additional labels showing a size "58" designation and for Elite Sportswear, the team's customizer. Having had the logos of both Pro Player and the NHL shield embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with an Oilers team crest in layered tackle twill that also features textured and embroidered details while matching alternate logo patches and the NHL2000 emblem, worn by all the league's teams throughout the season, have been added over both shoulders and the right breast respectively. Accented over the left breast with the distinguished alternate captain's "A", the sleeves and verso of the garment have had Hamrlik's number "22" sewn to them in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Hamrlik" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Riddled with game-wear throughout in the from of stick marks over the body and both sleeves, both areas also sport fabric snags and unrepaired holes. Displaying additional wear via numerous fabric backed team repairs that are observed over both sleeves and coloured board paint transfers, the interior shows good pilling throughout. Displaying an Oilers team tag denoting the piece as being a "Set #2 - 99/00" offering sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey has been video matched a screen capture from the Oilers contest against the Boston Bruins on February 23rd, 2000 to the loose navy thread at the bottom right corner of second "2" on Hamrlik's left sleeve.
