Laying claim to all three colours of medals from three different IIHF World Hockey Championships, Dwayne Roloson would enjoy an NHL career that saw him tend the twine a total of 606 times for six different teams. Backstopping the Edmonton Oilers to a Stanley Cup Finals berth in 2006, offered here is this Oilers jersey worn by Roloson during the 2007-08 season. Made by Reebok and displaying both “Goalie Style” and size “58” tags affixed to the inner collar alongside an Elite Sports label, the front and reverse necklines have been accented with the crests of the NHL and Reebok respectively. Decorated over the front with a familiar Oilers team crest in layered tackle twill that also features a textured oil drop at the top, the sleeves and verso have had Roloson’s number “35” sewn to them in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals while “Roloson” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting heavy game use, numerous puck marks are observed over the body and both sleeves with red post paint transfer present over each arm as well. Additionally, more wear is found through many fabric snags/pulls, pilling at each cuff and staining over the lower front. Sporting an Oilers team tag denoting the piece as a “2007-08 Set 1” offering sewn inside the reverse hem, a MeiGray tag numbered “E00141” is sewn alongside it with the company’s population report listing the jersey as a “White Set 1” specimen. Having been photo-matched with Getty Image #80224987 (December 3rd, 2007 vs Los Angeles) to many of the puck marks over the front and sleeves, a matching Oilers LOA will accompany the piece.
