The 57th overall pick of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, Jyrki Lumme joined the club in 1988 for a short stint before being traded to Vancouver, where he would enjoy a total of nine (9) seasons and established himself as the team's all-time top goal and point-scoring defenceman by the end of his tenure, which has now been surpassed. Part of the Canucks' run to the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals, offered here is this Canucks jersey worn by Lumme in 1989-90 after being acquired from Montreal. Made by CCM, a Maska Ultrafil label displaying a size "54" designation handwritten in blue ballpoint pen ink is affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a "Flying Skate" Canucks team crest that features embroidered details throughout, the franchise's 20th anniversary patch has been added over the left shoulder. Having had Lumme's number "21" sewn to the sleeves and verso in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Lumme" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Worn for six (6) of the eleven (11) games Lumme played with Vancouver at the end of the season after his trade, the jersey shows game wear in the form of stick marks, board burns and coloured paint transfer marks over both sleeves while the front and reverse also show stick marks and coloured paint transfers as well. Also displaying with staining and soiling throughout the body and sleeves, particularly towards the cuffs and hem line, the interior of the piece presents with pilling at both elbows while some minor salting is found in the fight strap.
