Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Serving with Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry during the First World War, Mervyn “Red” Dutton spent four seasons with the Calgary Tigers in the early-1920s, with his NHL time split between the Montreal Maroons and New York Americans before ascending to the presidency of the NHL, in 1943. We offer a photo signed by the HOFer. At 8" x 10", Dutton is pictured during the period he coached the New York Americans in the late-1930s, with his signature placed over the bottom right in blue ink. The signature is flawless, with the photo showing a bit of light wear. Dutton passed away in 1987 at 89 years of age. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
