Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
The 28th overall pick at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders after playing all of his junior hockey as a member of the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL, Anthony Beauvillier has enjoyed nearly 500 games in the NHL as of this writing, nearly all of which were played with the Islanders before a trade in January 2023 sent him west to the Vancouver Canucks. Up for grabs here, is this stick used by Beauvillier during the 2021-22 season as a member of the New York Islanders. A Bauer Nexus Geo model displaying a factory sticker that indicates a production date of the 13th week of 2022 (March 28th to April 3rd), the black and orange coloured weapon sports “Beauvillier” factory graphics over the shaft while Anthony’s original tape job of blue cloth-over-white is found over the handle/knob and is finished at the bottom with white. Displaying hand drawn identifiers including a cross over the knob and Beauvillier's number “18” at the bottom handle tape in black ink, the stick retains its white tape over the blade as well and shows good game-use via numerous marks and abrasions over the entirety of the shaft, lower shaft and heel with the blade tape showing puck marks and tears over both sides as well.
