Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
French Canada’s prodigal son throughout his entire playing career and life after hockey, Maurice Richard still holds a sacred place amongst French Canadiens even 23 years after his passing as of this writing. Having played for the famed bleu, blanc et rouge for his entire 18-year NHL career in which he led them to eight (8) Stanley Cup’s, offered here is this copy of “The Rocket’s” 1960-61 Parkhurst card that has garnered a grade of EX-MT after assessment by the graders at Beckett. Pulled from packs the year after Maurice officially hung up his skates, the card shows good centering over the front, despite being off a tad from right-to-left, along with good colours, and light-to-moderate even toning. Retaining what appear to be smooth edges and clean surfaces along with corners that sport just light wear, the card is sure to be a welcome addition to your all-important vintage collection should you become the lucky winning bidder.
