A two-time gold medalist with Canada at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in 1994 and 1995, Jason Allison would go on to an NHL career that saw him suit up in 552 National Hockey League games after being selected 17th overall in 1993 by the Washington Capitals. Hailing from a season that saw him register 60 points in 66 games played, up for grabs here is this Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by Allison during the 2005-06 season. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size “58” tag affixed to the inner collar, the crests of both Reebok and the NHL shield are seen over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. A classic tie-neck style garment, the front of the jersey is decorated with a vintage style Maple Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” and other details having been embroidered. Accented with Allison’s number “41” over both the sleeves and verso in single layer blue tackle twill numerals, “Allison” has been spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the back. Exhibiting game-wear via stick marks over both sleeves, the reverse and the front, additional wear is observed via a board burn at the right elbow, a spot of red paint transfer over the reverse hem and sweat staining near the collar. Photo-matched with Getty Image #56554614 (December 17th, 2005 vs Ottawa) to stick marks over the lower front and bottom white strip of the right sleeve, a MeiGray tag numbered “C09712” is affixed inside the reverse hem and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Third Set 1” specimen. A matching LOA will accompany the piece.
