Labeled as the “Ice Kings” on the reverse of every card, World Wide Gum’s 1933-34 V357 set rings true to its claim as 22 of the players depicted in the 72-card checklist would go on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after the conclusions of their careers. Up for grabs here, is this collection of six (6) cards from the fabled 1933-34 World Wide Gum Ice Kings V357 set. All bilingual back offerings, the group is paced condition wise by a copy of card #70 picturing Desse Roche that is seen as being in the scope of VG condition with corner wear and a light stain on the reverse while G to VG vicinity offerings include the likes of cards #27, the rookie card of HOFer Marty Barry (stain on reverse and corner wear), #32 of Art Chapman (crease on back and a stain) and #62 of Earl Roche (light stain on both front and reverse plus rounded corners. Closed out by copies of cards #18 picturing Paul Raymond (stain on reverse, paper loss at top right and corner wear/rounding) and #42 of HOFer Sylvio Mantha (worn, multiple creases), also included with the collection is a copy of a 1933-34 hockey guide produced by General Motors that includes facts like rosters and schedules and presents in overall good condition with creasing and moderate handling wear with toning and pencil marks to the pages on the inside.
