Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023

Enjoying a lengthy professional hockey career that included dressing for five different NHL clubs over 15 seasons, Brian Curran was drafted by Boston in 1982, and we have a Bruins jersey worn by the Toronto native in 1983-84, his first NHL season. Now void of any collar labeling, the CCM crest with Registered "R" sits over the reverse hem, with the solid white V-neck garment measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Styled with the iconic spoked-B team crest fully administered in layered tackle twill, “34” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with twin alternate crests over each shoulder. The dual-clasp fight strap is intact. Nice game-use is shown, with red paint transfer over the shoulders and reverse, along with team repairs to the front (1), reverse (3) and sleeves (3). There is also pilling to the interior sleeves. This set of jersey was also recycled for the following 1984-85 pre-season and worn without a nameplate so it it possible that the nameplate was reattached. This set of jersey was also used again during the 1984-85 playoffs in some games with Curran not playing in any games during the 1984-85 playoffs. A laminated LOA will accompany.
