This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
Offering options galore (and rookie cards galore!) complete sets of Parkhurst’s landmark 1951-52 hockey card issue, the first ever hockey set released by the company, are coveted in all forms with the full 105-card assembly offered here having been pasted onto scrapbook pages a youngster many moons ago. Having been done in a way where all the cards of one team are displayed on one page altogether to make a group of six (6) pages in total, all the cards making up the set are technically in a low-grade state due to the fact that they are glued on scrapbooks pages but would be perfect for someone desiring this landmark complete set without breaking the bank to acquire it. Including the key cards of players such as Maurice Richard (creases, rounded corners, corner wear, white marks), Doug Harvey (rounded corners, crease, stains, white marks), Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion (rounded corners, creases), Bill Quackenbush (rounded corners, corner crease, white marks), Bill Gadsby (rounded corners, crease through the middle), Harry Lumley (rounded corners and corner wear), Bill Barilko/"The Winning Goal" (rounded corners and white marks), Red Kelly (Heavy creases and surface wear - rounded corners/corner wear), Ted Lindsay (rounded corners and corner wear plus one white mark), Terry Sawchuk (light corner wear/rounding, white marks, scratch at bottom, off-center, fading at bottom), Alex Delvecchio (rounded corners and corner wear plus heavy creases), Gordie Howe (rounded corners and corner wear), Harry Watson (rounded corners and corner wear, red and white marks, creases), Turk Broda (rounded corners and corner wear plus creases), Ted Kennedy (rounded corners, faint crease at top right, light white mark), Allen Stanley (rounded corners and corner wear, white marks, surface wear), Chuck Rayner (rounded corners and creases) and Jim Concher (rounded corners and corner wear plus scratch through image). Additionally, also included with the complete assembly is a group of thirteen (13) extras that are not glued onto scrapbook pages and include the likes of 7-Johnson (x2), 19-Henry, 26-Quackenbush, 32-Berry, 34-Peirson, 35-Ferguson, 44-McFadden, 45-Hucul, 89-Eddolls, 95-Ronty, 101-Kullman and 103-Sinclair with all of the cards in a low to mid-grade condition range for their efforts.
