The 10th overall selection at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, Jocelyn Thibault guarded the crease of six different NHL clubs, with the netminder having the distinction of being the last goaltender to win at the Montreal Forum. Playing six (6) of his fourteen (14) years in the NHL wearing the uniform of the Chicago Blackhawks, offered here is this Blackhawks black third jersey worn by Thibault during the 2002-03 season. Made by KOHO and featuring both “Goalie Style” and size “58” tags affixed to the inner collar, a KOHO logo patch is found over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield emblem has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Styled with the famed Indigenous head crest the Blackhawks are known for that sports beautiful chain-stitched details, matching chain-stitched tomahawk crests reside over both shoulders. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Thibault’s number “40” in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals, “Thibault” is found spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back in single layer white twill letters. Exhibiting light game-wear, a handful of puck marks are seen throughout the body and sleeves of the dark coloured garment with a spot of red post paint transfer near the left elbow and a small team repair near the right cuff. Showing pilling at both cuffs, a Blackhawks team patch denoting the jersey as a 2002-03 game-worn offering has been sewn inside the rear hem and is accompanied by a Blackhawks LOA. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1749423 (January 15th, 2003 vs Detroit) to the puck mark seen through the bottom of the “4” on the right sleeve.
