Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Operating in the AHL from 1996 to 2015, the Hamilton Bulldogs was a farm team for the Montreal Canadiens (2002-15) and Edmonton Oilers (1996-2002), with a number of notable NHL stars playing for the franchise, including Jarred Tinordi, Tomas Plekanec, Yannick Weber and Maxim Lapierre. We offer a pair of Bulldogs jerseys worn by Kyle Chipchura (2005-06, 10th anniversary season alternate jersey!) and Michael Bournival' (2013-14). Differing slightly in style, each has Reebok labeling to the collar along with sizing (Chichura-56, Bournival-54), with AHL crests to the reverse hems. Featuring gorgeous tackle twill Bulldogs team crests, the 10th anniversary alternate jersey has a rare crossed-bones patch to the right breast and was usually worn during Sunday afternoon games as well as Canadiens and H crests over the shoulders. The Bournival jersey has a Pepsi sponsorship patch to the right breast and matching Habs crests to the shoulders (this jersey may have been possibly worn during the 2012-13 season, and re-numbered). The Chipchura jersey shows light use with marks beneath the front left shoulder, while the Bournival has burns and scuffs over the sleeves, with a material-backed team repair to each sleeve. The reverse number has also been signed in black marker. Both jerseys were obtained directly from the Bulldogs.
