Following in the great line of prominent superstar Montreal Canadiens goaltenders, Carey Price has enjoyed fifteen seasons so far in a Habs uniform, with numerous awards and accolades won including the Hart Memorial and Vezina trophies in 2014-15, a gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and a World Cup of Hockey championship in 2016. Presented here is this photo-matched Montreal Canadiens jersey worn by Price during the 2010-11 season. Made by Reebok, the interior neck has “Goalie Style” and size “58” flag tags affixed with the latter sewn over while a handwritten “1” is found above in black ink to denote the jersey as a set 1 offering. NHL and Reebok logos adorn the front and back necklines respectively and the front has been stylized with the iconic crest of “Les Canadiens”. The sleeves and verso having been accented with Price’s number “31” in three-layer tackle twill while “Price” is spelt out in blue twill letters on an affixed matching nameplate. A Canadiens hologram is affixed to the bottom of the number “1” on the reverse with a team tag numbered “A02418” sewn to the inside of the rear hem. Having had the fight strap cut out, a common attribute on Price’s gamers, the jersey shows excellent game-wear exhibited through puck marks seen throughout as well as pilling at each cuff, post paint transfers on the back of each elbow, a pair of team repairs near the left cuff and evidence of multiple washings via light red colour bleed on the sides and to the numbers. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #107312417 (December 2nd, 2010 vs New Jersey) to numerous puck marks over the front, left shoulder and left sleeve. A thick binder with all game stats this jersey was worn-in is included with listed information inside from the consignor mentioning that the sweater was worn in games from early October 2010 to early December 2010. A matching Canadiens LOA will accompany the piece.
