Played in front of over 100,000 spectators in Ann Arbor, the 2014 Winter Classic witnessed an Original Six matchup as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in a shootout. Presented here, we have a photo-matched Leafs jersey worn during the third period by Paul Ranger. A “58” size label sits along the collar beneath screened-on “NHL Winter Classic”, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring a felt Leafs team crest with affixed letters, the vintage-style tie-neck has been accented with matching felt sleeve and verso numbers, with the Winter Classic patch over the right shoulder. Worn for just the third period of the game, the jersey has a few marks beneath the reverse left shoulder and one over the front left shoulder. Getty Image #462664511 (2014 Winter Classic) has been matched to the dark mark on the front left shoulder. The MeiGray patch residing over the inside hem is numbered “K06495” and according to the their population report, the jersey is a "Blue - Winter Classic 1/1/14 at Michigan Stadium (The Big House) – Player Set Worn Period 3 - 1/1/14 At Michigan Stadium (The Big House)" specimen. An LOA from the Leafs will accompany, along with a photo of Ranger used for the photo-match.
