Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/27/2023
Born in Cleveland while his father was playing for the AHL’s Barons, Dave Ellett spent 16 seasons in the NHL, with an appearance made for Team Canada at the 1989 World Championships. Celebrating the NHL’s 75th anniversary, each Original Six club wore a throwback-style jersey, with the offered Toronto Maple Leafs "Turn Back the Clock" example worn by Ellett in 1991-92. With a cut Maska label, just a size “54” fly tag remains affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a vintage-style team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, the sleeves are void of numbers, with “14” over verso in single white twill. The jersey also sports the NHL 75th anniversary crest over the right breast, along with a dual-clasp fight strap. Exhibiting just light wear, a few dark marks are present over the team crest, with scuff marks over the lower left sleeve.
