First presented in 1909, the Allan Cup is annually awarded to the Senior Amateur champions of Canada. The 1934 Allan Cup finals featured Fort William battling the Moncton Hawks for the title, with the Hawks winning the best-of-three series 2 games to 1. This medallion was presented to Joe Hanley of Fort William for the club's status as runners-up at the 1934 Allan Cup. Bell-shaped and featuring a generic player on the obverse with "Allan Cup" and "C.A.H.A." in silver over a blue enamel base, the reverse has the particulars engraved including "1934", "Runners Up", "Fort William" and "Joe Hanley", with a hallmark at the bottom along with "Sterling". There is some light surface wear, with the medallion displaying beautifully.
