A Memorial Cup champion with the New Westminster Bruins, Larry Melynk was drafted by Boston in 1979 and played in parts of three seasons in Beantown. The Saskatoon native was also part of the 1985 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup champion squad. This Bruins jersey was worn by Melnyk during his rookie season in 1980-81. Recycled from the 1979-80 set, Stall & Dean labeling with "52" sizing is affixed to the collar, along with a "9" year tag. Styled with the classic Bruins team crest in use since 1949, the white mesh V-neck has also been accented with "33" sewn to the sleeves and verso, with attractive embroidered bruin alternate crests over each shoulder. "Melnyk" is across the nameplate in matching material. The dual garter fight strap is also intact. The upper reverse shows no signs of a former nameplate, with Jim Stewart wearing #33 for the Bruins in 1979-80, playing only one game. There is some minor wear to the material including a small hole between the reverse numbers, some light discolouration over the front and a team repair to the lower left sleeve. Additionally, Bobby Orr has signed the team crest in black marker. An LOA and COR from MeiGray will accompany.
