A veteran of 55 National Hockey League games over parts of three (3) seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Islanders, Dimitri Nabokov would win a bronze medal with his homeland, Russia, at the 1996 IIHF World Junior Championships. Offered here, we present this Islanders jersey worn by Nabokov during his final NHL season of 1999-2000. Made by CCM and featuring both size "56" and "Made in Canada" tags affixed to the inner collar, the logos of CCM and the NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Islanders team crest in layered tackle twill that also sports embroidered details, the NHL2000 patch worn by all the league's teams during the season has been added over the right breast. Displaying an alternate logo patch that has been placed over the right shoulder, the sleeves and verso have had Nabokov's number "37" sewn to them in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals while "Nabokov" has been spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting moderate game-wear via stick marks over the lower front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns are found over both sleeves and the right shoulder where some have resulted in small unrepaired holes while a pair of team repairs are present near the right cuff. Sporting additional wear via a pair of cuts/unrepaired holes to the left sleeve, staining is observed in the front crest and inside of the right sleeve while light pilling dots the interior. Having had an Islanders team stamp placed inside the reverse hem denoting the jersey as being a "1999-2000 Set #1" offering, an Islanders team LOA and MeiGray COR will accompany the piece.
