A product of the London Knights and Sudbury Wolves who went on to play 845 NHL games after being drafted 94th overall at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Chris Kelly, would win a Stanley Cup in 2011 as a member of the Boston Bruins and captain Team Canada to a bronze medal win at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Currently an assistant coach with the Bruins, offered here is this Senators jersey worn by Kelly during the 2003-04 season. Made by Koho, a lone size “58” tag is affixed to the inner collar while a Koho logo patch resides over the reverse neckline and the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, matching alternate logo crests reside over each shoulder while a Roger Neilson memorial patch has been added over the right breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Kelly’s number “49” in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Kelly” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting light game-wear, light stick marks are seen over the front and both sleeves as well as the reverse hem while a small board burn is observed near the right cuff as well. Displaying a MeiGray tag numbered “B11264’ sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Red 2nd Regular Season” offering and is accompanied by a matching LOA. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #52309609 (Undated 2004 Season) to the light stick mark over the left elbow.
