This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
Drafted 224th overall by the Tampa Bay Lighting in 2003, Gerald Coleman would win a Memorial Cup with the London Knights in 2005 and spend most of his professional career in the minor leagues, winning a pair of Kelly Cup championships with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL in 2011 and 2014. Offered here, we present this Lightning jersey worn by Coleman during the 2005-06 season when he stood between the pipes in two (2) games. Made by Reebok and sporting both "Goalie Style" and size "58" labels affixed to the inner collar, the reverse neckline has had a Reebok patch added over it while an NHL shield crest is found sewn over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Tampa Bay team crest that features both embroidered and textured details throughout matching alternate logo patches have been placed over each shoulder while the sleeves and verso have had Coleman's number "50" affixed to them in tri-layer stacked tackle twill numerals. With "Coleman" spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back, the jersey exhibits good game-wear in the form of puck marks over the front and both sleeves with the latter of the two areas also displaying with red post paint transfers at each elbow. Sporting some spot stains on the inside of each sleeve and near the left armpit that is worth mentioning for accuracy, a Lightning team tag denoting the jersey as being a "Set #3 2005" offering is sewn inside the reverse hem while Coleman has signed the "5" on the reverse with a silver marker ink autograph that displays with fading from age.
