Suiting up for a total of 33 games over the parts of three (3) National Hockey League seasons split between the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers, Vladimir Vorobiev would also play 582 games in top Russian pro leagues throughout his career as well. Offered here, is this Rangers jersey worn by Vorobiev during the 1997-98 season. Made by Starter, size “56-R” and Starter/Center Ice” labeling are affixed to the inner collar while both the Starter wordmark logo and NHL shield are embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the tie-neck garment with “Rangers” going diagonally down the chest in drop shadow red-over-white tackle twill letters, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Vorobiev’s number “39” in matching style numerals with “Vorobiev” spelt out in matching style once again across the affixed matching arched nameplate. Worn for just a total of three (3) games that season, the jersey shows no obvious of game wear but does have some staining over the lower right side on the reverse. Displaying a MeiGray tag sewn over the interior reverse hem that denotes the jersey as a “1997-98 season” offering, a Rangers LOA and MeiGray COR will accompany the piece. Of note, some seams at the top of the nameplate have come loose.
