One of the largest players to ever grace the ice of the National Hockey League, Hal Gill, standing approx. 6’7” tall and weighting 250lbs, would suit up in over 1100 games during his 16 season National Hockey League career that saw him play with six different teams. A Stanley Cup champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, up for grabs here is this photo-matched Boston Bruins third jersey worn by Gill during the 2002-03 season. Made by KOHO, both size “58” and “Made in Canada” tags are affixed to the inner collar while KOHO and NHL shield logo patches/embroidery appears over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Decorated over the front with a large Bruins bear head alternate logo crest that features embroidered details, matching “Bruins” wordmark logo patches have been added over each shoulder as well. Having had Gill’s number “25” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Gill” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Riddled with excellent game-wear that is exhibited throughout, both sleeves, the front and the reverse show numerous stick marks while both sleeves show board burns and unrepaired holes, most of which are found on the left one. Displaying a MeiGray tag numbered “A07571” over the reverse hem, according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Third Set 2” specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA plus a log of the five (5) games it was worn in between February 8th, 2003 and March 15th, 2003.
Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #52318337 (February 27th, 2003 vs New York) to the unpaired hole under the "B" in "Bruins" that is seen near Gill's left shoulder.
