A monumental edition of the NHL’s mid-season classic, the 1998 All-Star Game, hosted by the Vancouver Canucks, saw Team North America face-off against Team World instead of East vs West and was held the same year that NHL’s first competed at the Winter Olympic Games. Won by Team North America by a final score of 8-7, offered here is this collection of two sticks signed by members of that all-star squad. VIC 7050 and 9050 models respectively that remain in good condition despite some handling wear/marks and age wear, pieces of tape displaying handwritten notations in black marker ink that read “97-98 North American All-Star Team” have been applied at the lower shaft of each stick while the shafts on the forehand sides of each have been sanded down to facilitate to autographs better. Signed over the forehand side of each stick by 21 members of that team, signatures present include those of Ray Bourque, Mark Messier, Eric Lindros, Scott Stevens, Martin Brodeur, Joe Sakic, Al MacInnis, Scott Niedermayer, Brian Leetch, Brendan Shanahan, Chris Chelios, Keith Tkachuk, Mike Modano, Ed Belfour, Patrick Roy, Mark Recchi. All signed in black marker in a mix of bold and fine, all the autographs remain vivid and easy to read/make out. Additionally, JSA stickers have been applied to the lower shaft of each stick as well.
