One of only 29 players in history to join the prestigious Triple Gold Club, Henrik Zetterberg spent his entire career in Motor City, hoisting Lord Stanley’s hardware in 2008 while also earning the coveted Conn Smythe Trophy. Representing his homeland of Sweden on numerous occasions including at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games where he helped the team win the gold medal, Zetterberg and the Red Wings would kick off the 2009-10 season in his birth country against the St. Louis Blues on October 2nd and 3rd in Stockholm. Up for grabs here, is this Red Wings jersey worn by Zetterberg against the Blues in Sweden on October 2nd, 2009 as part of the NHL Premiere Series. Made by Reebok and featuring a single size “54” tag affixed to the inner collar, crests of both the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with Detroit’s famed winged wheel team crest that features embroidered details, both the all-important NHL Premiere Stockholm patch and alternate captain’s “A” have been affixed over the left breast. The sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with “Z’s” number “40” in single layer white tackle twill numerals while “Zetterberg” is spelt out in matching style arched across the top of the back. Sporting good game-wear despite being worn in just a single contest, dark stick marks are seen over the front and near the left cuff while some marks are also exhibited near the right cuff as well. Showing a “2009 Authentic Premier Set October 2nd and 3rd Stockholm, Sweden” team patch affixed inside the right hip, the jersey is accompanied by a MeiGray COR and is photo-matched with an included image that shows the stick mark through the top right portion of the Red Wings crest that has since been partially washed out.
